Residents of Adens Place have been denied access to solar panels by the neighborhood developer without any reasonable explanation or justification. 

At this time the Architecture Control is not allowing solar in the neighborhood. From my understanding after talking with the ARC there are three reasons why they are not allowing it. 1. The trusses in the house are not designed for the extra weight of the solar panels. 2. It voids the warranty of the roof and roofing system. 3. The appearance of solar in the neighborhood, some prospective buyers do not want to look at solar panels.

1. This is untrue and the fact that the trusses can support the weight of solar has been confirmed by a Mungo employee.

2. This would only impact the homeowners and should be of no worry to the developer.

3. We purchased our home with one house in the neighborhood already having solar. This reason is completely subjective and arbitrary. 

The developer is restricting access to green energy, despite precedent in many other states for the support of solar panels. 

Signing this petition means you support the Adens Place residents’ right to chose (or not) green energy and solar panel installation prior to the establishment of a HOA board. Signing this petition means you support residents incurring no fines or legal ramifications for choosing to install solar panels.
