Nottingham High seniors are not allowed to drive to their own Prom! most of us will be 18 by the time prom is happening, and we are told we have to sit on a bus for 40 minutes in our expensive clothing. We won't be able to drive the cars that we own and the experience of driving with our friends to the last school event of our high school experience. No other senior class at Nottingham had to go through this, and we already missed out on so many high school experiences and memories because of Covid-19. The teachers who oversee the senior class have the issue that it is the time restrictions for probationary licenses, sleep deprivation for those driving, and on and on.  The bus situation should only be allowed for those who need transportation or need to get back to the school if not attending post-prom.  But what about those who are just going to post prom?  I don't think our parents would want to drive us at midnight, and emergencies happen as well.  The point is that those who have the transportation should be able to drive, and those who can't be able to get a ride from someone else or the bus provided.  We need to have our own experience, and let our expensive dresses and suits sit in our own cars!
