Allow Riverdale and East Basketball teams to play in National High School Tournament.

The Dick’s Sporting Goods National High School Basketball Tournament is very important. Only a select few highly ranked high schools teams are invited. Both Riverdale high school girls team and East high boys team have been invited this year. However, Tennessee's high school athletic governing body, TSSA has not granted them approval to participate.
If TSSAA allow these student-athletes to participate, they would be able to showcase their talents, gain national exposure and represent the state of Tennessee in this very prestigious tournament. WIAA, the high school athletic governing body for state of Washington has already granted permission for its high school team to participate this year. Closer to Tennessee in the neighboring state of Georgia, GHSA also approved one of its teams to play in the tournament recently. Can TSSAA do the same for TN student-athletes?
Currently, Riverdale and East are both nationally ranked. Riverdale is ranked #1 in the country and East #3. Both teams are coming off state championships and are in contention to play for another state title.
Please support this petition so these student-athletes can positively represent the state of Tennessee in this national high school tournament.
