Allow our kids to rebuild Madills Farm Bike Jumps

Over recent weeks local children, from a variety of schools in the area, have created a bike jump park in the corner of Madills Farm adjacent to . The project was led and built by the children themselves and incorporated a variety of jumps and rollovers for different ages and abilities.
The area quickly became a little silver lining of lockdown. Long days of boredom at home and remote schooling became punctuated with a ride to the “Madills Jumps”, skills and courage were put to the test, achievements were celebrated, encouragement was given. All the things our kids desperately needed in these very strange times.
Parents struggling to work and teach their children could send them to the Jumps for a break, some exercise and sometime away from screens.
The Madils Jumps became a focal point for kids too old for the playground, but too young to go further afield without an adult.
On 5th November Auckland Council came and flattened the jumps based on one complaint.
Please sign this petition if you would like to see Auckland Council allow the kids to rebuild their jumps and use this area to ride. Let’s give our kids a voice!
