Currently Raytown allows, horses, chickens and pot bellied pigs but does not allow miniature goats. We love living in Raytown and have almost two acres with chickens and a garden. We would love to have a couple miniature goats to help provide dairy for our family. Many of our friends and ourselves are wanting to live a more self sufficient life style - growing and preserving more of our own food and relying less on the grocery store, especially with inflation and supply chain issues. We would love the ability to provide our own milk, cheese and soap from pet miniature goats. A couple goats can easily be kept on the same property sizes on which horses are currently allowed in Raytown. We believe goats can be added to the allowed list of animals in Raytown with a reasonable law that protects neighbors and is good for the goats.
