Prom is something teens look forward for years. We always think about where’s it going to be, what am I going to wear, and most importantly who am I going to bring? Not allowing USYers to bring non Jewish/ non USYers dates creates a feeling to us teens that we shouldn’t be assisting with these kinds of people.

Not only this but also if our dates enjoy the event that might even want to sign up for USY, having prom with a plus one is a way to introduce people to the organization.
