Apr 1, 2014 — It is with a heavy heart that I have to let all of you know our 4 1/2 yr struggle has ended up in tragedy. Orlando was deported this morning to the Dominican Republic, a place he has not been to since he was 1 year old (1978). They refused to allow us to give him a travel case as most are permitted so he basically has the shirt, pants, socks & shoes that he had on the day he was detained. No cash, no clothing, no high blood pressure medication which he desperately needs and no cosmetics and sent to a place with no family or friends or place to stay. This is what our Government has done to us. We filed a Deferment of Deportation which was denied this morning and despite also filing a Credible Fear motion which tells ICE he fears going to his country, they deported him anyway. When you file a Credible Fear interview ICE is supposed to hold you in the U.S. and not move you until you are interviewed and a judge decides. Well, ICE did not follow their own procedure and deported Orlan
