Allowing students to leave campus gives them the opportunity to explore their city. It teaches them responsibility, discipline and time management in insuring they get back to school before the lunch bell rings. Many students want to grab snacks and sodas, sometimes even food from nearby stores and restaurants. This would also increase the local economy as business is being boosted by a steady flow of students.
