First of all gum is proven to relive stress and people chew gum all the time so when they come to school it just becomes a habit. So, the people who are getting in trouble (and could possibly get suspended) have not done anything wrong. Another thing is that we are allowed to eat many other things on the school campus and we have (hopefully) proven that we can clean up after ourselves. Meaning that there would be no reason why we can’t clean up any gum on our campus. Plus, people already chew gum on the campus and if you’re surprised why you did not know, the reason is that we have cleaned up all of it so there are no traces of it left it our school. If this petition gets enough signatures we could change that rule, and be allowed to do the one thing that we love to do most. This petition is only the beginning of having schools around the world allow gum in schools. After we get this petition passed after having 50 or more signatures we will try to get this to be worldwide so people will recognize this around the world. The stress reliving, anti-anxiety proven, sweet-sweet sensation of chewing gum once more on our campus.
