Allow in person classes at Marshall University!

Allow in person classes at Marshall University!
Why this petition matters
With the announcement of the majority of sophomore to senior class offering at Marshall University being moved to a virtual of online setting students are being cheated of their education and experiences.
Marshall University has already taken the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the classroom and other locations on the university ground. However the Pres. Gilbert has decided that the students of Marshall University are inept and incapable of follow precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. In this judgement he has restricted upper level students to virtual class, although still allowing for them to live in university housing due to the revenue it creates.
President Gilbert and Marshall University's application of the new class schedule is not only inconsistent in its application, allowing for freshman and graduate courses to remain in person, but also inhibits those who benefit the most from in classroom instruction, upper level students.
It is the hope of this petition to bring to light the flakey policies of the university but also the student body’s determination to return to in face classes.
If these aren’t realized, university leadership must recognize how inhibiting this new policy is but also how students are being overcharged for what they are receiving. Students are no longer receiving access to facilities or the in classroom experience and should no be charged the excessive tuition rates.
