Allow dyed dogs in AKC Scentwork Trials

Allow dyed dogs in AKC Scentwork Trials
Why this petition matters

A friend and I recently wanted to dye our pups for fun and to add some color to them. However, we both have a scentwork competition coming up and the dye would not be out of their fur by that time. We checked with the AKC Scentwork rules to see if dyed dogs were allowed to compete and found out that currently, they are not.
Dyed dogs are colored with pet safe coloring and are not in harms way or at any disadvantage or advantage when competing. The dye does not have a smell so there would be no conflict when it came to the odor that the dogs have to find during scentwork competitions.
This petition is to request that AKC make an amendment to the scentwork rules that allow dogs with dyed fur to compete in scentwork trials. Dyed dogs are allowed in other performance sports such as agility and FastCAT and we would like scentwork to allow this as well.
