Currently in bonus pastor boys are not allowed to wear earrings, some of us find this unfair In some cultures, ears are pierced at a young age for example in countries like Nigeria, India, Brazil. Not allowing those of specific culture to wear earrings is stripping their culture/ tradition from them also some countries in the Mediterranean side of the world also carry out this tradition as people in Italy would sometimes pierce both ears as a sign of Jesus’ hands being pinned to the cross which also comes into a spiritual factor in Christianity as we are a catholic school. Another reason why boys should be able to wear earrings is that Boys feel equalised and as a school community who now adopt a more adaptive mindset in order to support our youth within the school, we feel that as members of such a multicultural and accepting community we should have the same rights as the females in our school
