Allow Black Roofs in The Canyons at Scenic Loop- petition to hold special meeting

Neighbors, we need your help! We need 227 signatures to be granted this special meeting.
Backstory:
My husband and I were recently denied a black metal roof on our custom home design. This is unfair treatment.
Black is a roof color that is prohibited by the DCCRs (Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions) for The Canyons at Scenic Loop.
Roof colors currently allowed should be "earth tones or muted colors".
An earth tone is a color that is commonly observed in nature such as sea, sky, vegetation and land. Any tint or shade commonly found in nature can be considered an earth tone including browns, greens, reds, yellows, oranges, greys, whites and shades of black.
Black is earth tone.
Black metal roofs have previously been approved by the ACC (Architectural Control Commitee).
Section 3.7 regarding Color in the DCCRs states "All exterior color schemes on any improvement must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee prior to use and should be earthtone or muted colors chosen to blend, rather than contrast, with the surroundings."
We are not asking for a roof color that is not already present in the community and has been for years.
There are several homes within the community with a black metal roof.
There are homes currently under construction with a black roof.
Builders are not being fined for installing a black roof.
Home owners are not being fined for having a black roof.
And yet certain homeowners are being denied black roofs on their home design.
Bottom line: black is a classic earth tone color and homeowners should be allowed to install a black roof at The Canyons at Scenic Loop
This is a petition to hold a special meeting to vote in favor of changing the DCCRs for The Canyons at Scenic Loop to allow the roof color black.
