When I was looking in to start in my own backyard chicken coop I asked my town (Walkerton) how many chickens I was allowed.

 I was told because we are not zoned agricultural we are not allowed chickens.

 I think it's a shame that in these difficult financial times we're not allowed to produce our own eggs.

 The upside of that would be I would know where my own food comes from; I would be able to teach my children where food comes from food comes from; it's good  for the environment, and many other reasons.

 I would like the town of Walkerton to allow up to 6 backyard chickens.
