Unfortunately our HOA has a no above ground pool policy and to change that we have to change the bylaws. To do that we must have majority of the owners agree that they want it changed. With a good bit of new families joining the neighborhood we can revisit this to allow above ground pools WITH certain expectations.  I know sometimes it’s hard to get to the HOA meetings so I thought an online voting petition could help get the signatures needed. If the pools submitted don’t meet the expectations then they are denied. These requirements would be things such as certain landscaping enhancements, stone work, decking etc.  The picture is an example. If people don’t take care of them, they can pay a fine (like when you don’t replace your lightbulb fast enough or when RVs are parked for too long). It’s that simple. They almost had it changed a few years ago so hopefully with the new families moving in we can finally change it.  If we don’t get enough votes, the HOA will continue with only allowing in ground pools. I don’t know about the rest of you, but if I had that kind of money I’d already have a pool.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and your vote would be much appreciated.
