This is a situation that many of us can relate to, or will probably relate to in the future: I am currently applying for internships for the final year of my studies. My two top choice openings, as well as many other companies, only allow for 6-month internships as they take in new interns at the end of the internship term. Even if I am a perfect fit for the internship and the company, which would allow me to develop my professional skills in my industry of interest, NHL Stenden's inflexible requirement will prevent me and other Creative Business students from achieving our professional aspirations.

NHL Stenden's current 8-month policy on internships is limiting opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience and start a career in their field of interest and specialization. Many companies prefer or require 6-month internships to ensure a comprehensive learning experience and seamless transition between intern cohorts. By not accommodating this duration, which is something that has been done for other studies, NHL Stenden is inadvertently hindering its students' career prospects.

We urge NHL Stenden to revise their internship policies to allow for 6-month placements, thereby supporting their students' professional growth and better aligning with industry practices. Please sign this petition to help us advocate for this necessary change!
