Eakles stand strong started this petition to Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh PA

Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh PA has a policy that video calling is not permitted with dying loved ones. This is unacceptable, especially with all that is going on in the world with the pandemic. Covid-19 has taken more from us then most realize. Currently there are patients in the hospital that can have no visitors and luckily some can have 1 set visitor. That is understandable at times because of this pandemic. However Allegheny General has a policy that does not allow for patients to video call family members. This is unacceptable. There are people that are loved dying alone in hospitals because of what is going on in the world and this policy is ridiculous to say the least. I have a family member recently diagnosed with late stage ALS, He can no longer see anyone in person, except his wife. His 4 children, and the rest of the family video chat him to keep his spirits up and let him know he is loved. However that stopped today! He can not talk so video chatting is the only way to communicate! Please help change this policy because that is what helps get him and the rest of the family through this!! Stay strong, stay positive, and stay connected!!
