Allegheny College’s administration has yet again shown a lack of care for its students and faculty by making students and faculty come to campus for Module 1 of the 2022 spring semester because of their 200 year old “in person traditions”. Various colleges and universities across the country have made their classes online due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its new variant. Allegheny needs to adapt and change to what is happening in the current world. Allegheny says that they will monitor the pandemic on campus, but there are no accommodations of zoom teaching for students who test positive for COVID and allegehny would not go online unless there was a huge outbreak on campus. We as the student body demand Allegheny college to go online for module 1 (just a few weeks) to safely and correctly monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. Some students and faculty are not even getting back to campus until after the week break in February. YWe the students demand safety for us and the rest of Allegehny’s community during the pandemic.
