I am reaching out to you, 2nd year law students of QM, due to shared concerns regarding the Administrative Law module. Due to the medical leave of the module convenor, Dr. Daniela Nadj, the main lecturer and tutor of most of the seminar groups, we are really starting to doubt that we will successfully be able to sit the exam. Not only has the absence of the module convenor caused difficulties, the illness of various other tutors and the strike have made it increasingly difficult to follow up with the module and attend tutorials. Additionally, not only have the current lectures not been up to standard, in absence of Dr. Nadj, but students are now forced to Qreview lectures from previous years as there is not enough time to attend live lectures on all topics this year. Moreover, because of the absence of many tutors, tutorial groups have been packed (with more than 30 students in certain groups) and this has made it extremely difficult for students to attend, ask questions, better their understanding and to focus appropriately during tutorials. Hence, this has made the purpose of tutorials completely futile. Lastly, students are being emailed, almost on a daily basis, by the administrative team and the academic staff with contradictory and unclear information which has increased our confusion.

For these reasons, we believe that removing one topic from the exam is not enough and we think that the exam should be drastically changed (i.e. having the exam substituted with a summative assignment or making sure we have exam arrangements) to adapt to the circumstances.
