- As of the 22nd of October, All COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted with the exception of wearing face masks. Our interest is to allow all senior years to leave the school premises during lunch times, with the condition that the students still adhere to social distancing guidelines and continue the wearing of face masks. As Presentation Students, we have been praised for our disciplinary manners and feel we have proven our maturity in the last few years, because of this we feel we are entitled to leave the school premises at lunch times. Unfortunate students that have no lunch are unable to access any other facilities for lunch as the canteen has been closed for the foreseeable future, being able to leave the school for lunchtime would benefit them greatly. Other schools such as CBS, Loreto and Grennan have been given permission to leave school grounds during lunch times, we think that our management should seriously consider our request to join them. We feel as though it would be safer for our school to allow the senior students to safely adhere to social distancing rules outside of school grounds as we are located on the outskirts of town. We also feel that it will lower the volume of students and provide an easier ground for students and teachers to move freely throughout the school without caution. We would hope that our proposal, if accepted, would be applied to all future senior years as we strongly believe that we are entitled to our freedom.
