The problem is that pensions are not enough if you don't have any prior investments. In these trying times it is not enough and as having partime work as a self employed to make extra to support yourself, and dealing with aging. is gone now. this potion will start to get the Canadian Government to increase the pension or top up to 2000 as an emergency benefit to help get through these times.The pension is no where near the cost of living in todays  standards, and to keep u[ with the rising costs, the percentage is not in pace with the current rise of the economic rising trends. The emergency benefit does not address these seniors that have to have an extra income as their pension from Canada is not enough.I as an example was a musician all my life and now I only have the cpp and was, am also not eligible for low income seniors benefit as I worked part time so the qualifications duo not apply...So in a catch 22.. as to speak. So we are in a sinking boat with a slow leak but we keep trying to bail the water coming in!!!

To all seniors please respond and sign up to make these changes for the betterment of all seniors in canada.We need to increase the pensions as a top up now that we are in dangerous waters and cannot make any extra income because of the Covid-19!!!
