As everyone knows by now, David Bills, the superintendent for West Genesee, has made some pretty bad mistakes in the past. He even came into the senior PIG classes, and talked about how demoralizing all the negative emails he receives are. Guess what dude, if you were actually doing your job right, that wouldn’t be a problem. And now, on Thursday, September 30th, 2021, the student body at WGHS hears an announcement over the PA system at around 1:00pm. Mr. Bills goes on to say “pardon this interruption” twice within a span of 30 seconds. He then goes on to thank everyone for listening. Finally, after about a minute of B.S., he mentions that there was a violence threat made the day prior, on the 29th. This announcement was only made after multiple students noticed the police presence in the front of the school, with multiple kids reporting they carried rifles. The nonchalant tone of David Bills is problematic, and will result in many more scandals, and probably a threat to student safety. I vote he be fired by the board, and replaced by someone who actually can make a difference and isn’t going to conform to the totalitarianism pushed out by public schools everywhere. Do better WG.
