Heather Matuse started this petition to Rachel's Place Neighbors

By signing this petition, you oppose Bostic Building Corp, Brett Bostic, or any other person, company, or entity to build residential dwellings located at 3001 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne.  And, if the plan proposed is approved by the county, by signing you oppose opening the side road next to 2256 Blue Bonnet Circle to adjoin with any building that is done on that parcel of land, or as shown on plans, Long Leaf Drive.

We, as residents of Rachel's Place, already have considerable water drainage issues throughout the neighborhood; including but not limited to the area listed on plans as Common Area/ Drainage Esmt.  This area is between the back of houses shown on Blue Bonnet Circle and the backside of the proposed townhomes.  Brett Bostic, who also built the homes in Rachel's Place, has promised to fix these issues but has yet to do so on many of the properties that have issues.   We are concerned since there are already considerable drainage issues in the drainage easement between these two properties that once the building begins it will become even worse and the homeowners will be the ones to foot the bill to find a solution.

We already are a large neighborhood full of young families with children who are playing outside.  We do not need to add additional traffic that would be using our private roads to use as a cut-through from Castle Hayne Road to Blue Clay Road (and visa versa) via Holland Drive and Long Leaf Drive, especially since Long Leaf Drive gives access to Wrightsboro Elementary School.  And then our HOA will be responsible for the maintenance of our roads that many will use as a cut-through.

Many of us along the Blue Bonnet Circle side that backs up to the proposed townhomes were told the reason we had to pay a premium for our lots was that nothing was going to be built on the proposed land.  At this point, we are faced with the fact that eventually something will be built there as this is not the first proposed residential build on this plot of land.
