This is important because even a trace amount of an allergen can cause an anaphylactic reaction. An anaphylactic reation or Anaphylaxis, is a serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and may cause death.
More and more children are diagnosed with food allergies every year. And more and more children are dying at the hand of their allergies.
As a mother of a very allergic child, this is very important to me. Every day parents all over have to face so many struggles to keep our children safe.We read labels. We call ahead any where we go to make sure they are allergy friendly. We have to fight to keep our children safe. We have to fight to make people understand who serious allergies are. We do so much every day.
Just imagine if it was your child. Imagine something as simple as labeling for possible cross contamination could keep your child from getting extremely sick or even prevent the death of your child.
Please help us make things safer for our children.

All manufactures should be required by law to label their products not only for the top food allergies but also for possible cross contamination. If they do not, there should be heavy penalties and/or fines for that manufacturer.
