It was indeed shocking to hear the PM announce on 8.8 that from 10th August 2021, Malaysians residing overseas who are returning to the country are allowed to self-quarantine at home. 

That is totally absurd. Imagine what we are inviting at this point of time? As for now, the cases are around 20k plus a day, with unbelievable amounts of deaths in a day. 

If we allow this to take place, another episode of disaster is about to begin. What was the rationale of even that decision to get them to self-quarantine? 

Imagine those whom they might get in contact with during the 14 days? Family members, Grab drivers / family members picking them up at the airport? What if they carry the deadly Lambda virus? Yes, they are fully vaccinated, but they can be carriers, too. 

As it is, the healthcare system and facilities have been overwhelmed dealing with the  pandemic and Delta, not yet Lambda in the picture. What if any one brings this variant in? 

That then shall mark the beginning of disaster in our Bolehland. A disaster beyond what we can ever picture. 

May Allah protect us all and our beloved Malaysia. That is my silent prayer on the eve of Awal Muharram for my Malaysia. Let's stop this once and for all, for you, me and everyone around us. Together, we can stop this from happening. 

We need to get the government to revoke this decision announced yesterday before anyone or many of us turn victims and succumb to the deadly Delta / Lambda viruses just waiting to enter.
