To create a quality concrete skatepark in the Old Sarum community

The project of the skatepark for old Sarum in Salisbury will benefit so many children and young adults,
The community in which it will be sited holds a large number of social housing and with money very tight in the current financial climate and all parents not having a lot of spare money we want to create a safe, free to use sports facility to keep everyone fit, healthy active and occupied!
With the community expanding even more with Longhedge estate growing in size right along side of it with access through as the residents are using the school and facilities we feel that this project will have a positive effect on a huge number of our community members, young and old, and give them a fun, safe and exciting place to learn, share and express themselves.
In our community just at our local school, Old Sarum Primary and the nursery we have 281 under eleven year old children, and once the extension is completed which is very soon that will increase by a further 206, and that’s not including the children who attend different schools and nurseries or the ones that are at secondary school.
At present everyone wishing to use skateboards, scooters, bmx’s and roller blades (which is almost every child that lives here) have to use the pavement, roads and car parks, which just isn’t safe!
We have parks but no area for these activities, so we believe that there is a need for one.
Please take the time to show your support,
Every signature counts!
