Since vadic times our great land has been a land of spiritual teachings, a land of great saints and scholors. This great civilization started from banks of river Sindhu. This sacred river's name was wrongly spelt by British as Indua and hence they called our land as India. But it is well known that the land since ancient times had name Hindustan, meaning land of Sindhu / Hindu. 

Ours is only country having three names, India, Bharat and Hindusthan. India is a legacy left by British. We have changed many British names to suit our old names. Why not the name of our great country should not be again called Hindustan. I feel name Bharat also is not justifiable.

Rightly our Govt since independence has used Hindustan in many ways, viz, Hindustan Aeronautics, Hindustan Machine tools, Hindusthan Ship yard, Hindusthan.zinc etc.

I appeal all my fellow citizens to sign this petition and circulate widely to reach Govt to change and keep one name Hindustan to our great land
