As per the population projection, India will have one of the youngest populations in the world by 2020. Drug abuse, irresponsible sexual behavior, vandalism, commercialization, stealing, cheating are witnessed more often than ever before. The Report of the University Education Commission (1962) noted, “If we exclude spiritual training in our institutions, we would be untrue to our whole historical development.” All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in their model curriculum on November 2017 kept ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES under non credit course. With this step, Most of the Institutions wouldn't recruit the faculty for this subject and in turn students will become irresponsible in terms of Environment and its resource conservation which leads to unemployment and scarcity in all the aspects. In order to make our children as an Eco-friends there is a dire need to revise the decision to re-implement Environmental sciences as credit course and made it mandatory. I would like to conclude that we are all know that Nature is a creation of GOD but we are not giving such importance to this concept in levels of Life. In Curriculum for UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE COURSES IN ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY only two courses are God made i.e. Environmental Sciences and Ethics remaining are man made. Once again I request the expert committe members to revise the decision and introduce God made subjects as credit courses.
