Having clean renewable energy to replace dirty energy (fossil fuels) will have a beneficial impact on a healthy world. I chose this goal because electricity is a big reason why climate change exists. If we go into clean renewable energy, that means we could reduce fossil fuels being used for energy. Making this change by using solar, wind, and any other sources of clean renewable energy will save this earth from greenhouse gasses and climate change. This will also save our future generations from suffering on this polluted earth. We don't want an earth that is dying from companies that are creating greenhouse gases in front of us. So let us make a change!

The target of my action will be the Public Utility Commission (PUC) and the head person is Michael Grant ( Executive Director of PUC) or Mark Thompson (Commissioner). This is my target because PUC is the .gov (US federal government site) and puts us also in charge of the utilities in Oregon. If we reach out to them, we can possibly make changes for clean energy. Our target has a lot of power to change this because they are the people who are in charge of regulating investor-owned electric and natural gas companies. The PUC can force these companies like Pacific Power and PGE to tax them every year they have coal as a source of energy instead of us paying them if they remove coal. This means that they would be paying for their own mistake of not using clean energy. We are hoping that our targets will be taxing these companies that are using dirty energy such as coal or fossil fuels to make energy instead of using renewable or clean energy. I want them to reduce and get rid of dirty energy to get rid of greenhouse gases. 

Tactic: Talk to via meeting in real life, phone number, or emailing Michael Grant ( Executive Director of PUC) and or Mark Thompson (Commissioner) about our goal for clean and renewable energy:

This tactic will be effective because if Michael Grant or Mark Thompson listens to our goal and vision, he can tax or even direct them to stop using coal/fossil fuel energy. If he does this, the companies should be able to stop getting profits. This means they would stop using these kinds of materials for dirty energy and maybe get rid of them to start using clean energy like solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity energy, etc. The message is to have 100% clean/ renewable energy to save this planet from fossil fuel/ coal usage. Which will reduce greenhouse gasses from killing the earth. It will lead to collective change because PUC/ Michael Grant or Mark Thompson is the main target that changes all the investor-owned electric and natural gas companies which might change them to use clean/ renewable energy for all of us people. This can also be spread around the United States and the world too. If that happens, we could have everyone using clean renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gases!
