It’s time to stop having unrealistic expectations of our elected leaders. Not every prime minister in our country’s history of war making has made the right decision but that didn’t mean that they were all bad. It’s time to stop blaming one person for a whole government’s decision to go to war. Margaret Thatcher “won” the Falklands war but that didn’t make her decisions universally correct. Sir Tony Blair made some brilliant policy decisions during his time in office. Let’s try to see some good and stop the citizens of this country from being political footballs.
