Transform two lots into sanctuaries for growing/connecting in a concrete jungle.

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services owns lots throughout Brooklyn that have been sitting unused for years.  Many have become dumping grounds for trash and are eye sores.

We'd like to transform these lots into community spaces where people can commune with nature and each other in a borough where green spaces are quickly disappearing.

Help us cut through the bureaucracy and show that Brooklynites care about green spaces, community spaces.  If we win, we'll create multipurpose, multigenerational spaces for our community - refuge.

These lots are located in Bed Stuy where developers are using lots to put up "affordable" housing units that do not fit the character of the neighborhood and are not accessible for our community.
