Meaghan Murray started this petition to Alice Hanning (CEO of Brandy Melville)

Brandy Melville is a female clothing company targeted at young girls, around 12-16 years old. Not only does the company carry clothing that is "one size fits all," but also takes part in a racist hiring process, body shames their employees, and overall lacks diversity in their advertisements.

With a company that is target at young girls, it is imperative that Brandy Melville stop insisting that "one size fits all." This can give their consumers an unhealthy body image and unrealistic expectations as to what their body should look like. One size fits all clothing is extremely degrading to women who do not fit into this standard set by the company. The female body comes in all different shapes, sizes, and colors; no clothing company should makes their impressionable consumers feel any less than beautiful.

Many past employees of Brandy Melville have come forward to share their less than pleasant experience working for the company. These accounts include employees being fired for cutting their hair, gaining weight, or failing to meet a beauty standard set by their manager. These policies regarding employment are less than ethical and should no longer be tolerated.
