Do we need another landscape photo? No. Everywhere has beautiful landscapes, does anywhere else have Mothman? No, not really.

Out of the hundreds of TV shows and movies ever made about West Virginia, what has the lions share been focused on? You guessed it, Mothman.

50,000 visitors come to the state every year as a direct result of Mothman. Can any other singular subject/town/place/attraction say the same?

A landscape photo in a sea of landscape photos will not turn heads and is not memorable... You know what does both really well? The Mothman!

Mothman has become identifiable with West Virginia. He is our own home grown, much beloved worldwide, ambassador. We need mothman and all of the tourism and goodwill he provides our state. It's time we have officially embraced him.
