The effect that modeling and Photoshop is having on our society is horrible and the damage is extensive. "The Photoshop Law" is a law that was passed in Israel and France, that requires all models to maintain a minimum body-mass index of 18.5, in order to prevent extreme malnutrition or unhealthy conditions of the models. The bill was proposed by a fashion photographer after is good friend who was a model died of severe anorexia, after weighing 60 lbs as a middle aged man.  In addition to this, there will be a ranking system placed on all photos that will rate the level of Photoshop used on the specific image, whether it be a picture of a celebrity on the cover of a magazine, or a hamburger in an ad for a fast-food restaurant. This law needs to be passed to render help for models. A 2012 study showed that 64% of models studied had been asked to lose weight by their agencies, and 68% of the models suffered from severe anxiety and depression. Please help pass the Photoshop Law in the US, and put an end to the horrible conditions of modeling and the unrealistic extent of Photoshop.
