"Street smart" good way to be if you go to a festival!
I was 17 at my first festival and it was quite an experience but they got better once I got older and wiser! Wouldn't want someone I know getting injured or dying at a festive!

The world has lost my wonderful and talented great nephew who died aged 17 at T-in-the Park this year. This change could save many families from the trauma of losing a child and remove some of the stigma against such festivals for being the unsafe places that they are currently.

My best friends 17 year old boy was the victim of the drug pushers at t in the park. This is no small scale stuff. I've worked there for years. It's all organised crime, I've watched it year in year out. More money is made at these events through drugs and youngsters than is ever made in tickets. It's totally geared for the unprepared and naive

I have attended this festival in the last few years and am shocked by the open drug taking going on. I agree that young people are very vulnerable unsupervised. I think even giving day tickets but no access to campsite as that's where most of the trouble lies. 17 year olds can't buy alcohol or get into clubs but can go to t in the park and lie drunk or stumble about drugged for 5 days. It needs addressed now
