Make the beaches in the UK more accessible for wheelchairs users to enjoy
This petition had 20 supporters
Lots of people visit seaside's in the UK, Southend being one of them. Have you ever tried going on a family day out with a wheelchair in tow and having to leave your family member who can't walk, a teenager in his wheelchair with another member of your group so you can go and enjoy the water with other family members who are also teenagers, without having to feel guilty because your wheelchair bound family member can't get to the beach front right by the sea. It's about time that beaches in the UK had wooden pathway's down to the sea that were wide enough to cater for wheelchair users to go onto the beach to enjoy it with their family, friends or groups for days out at the seaside. An area with a built up area for wheelchair users to access with their families so everyone can feel like they are all together and not separated for a day out just like any able bodied family can on the actual beach. Please sign this petition so we can get things to change so one and all can enjoy the seafront.
