Please let’s all join together to appose this proposed land use amendment. The Whiddon family who owns the 11 acres on Davie Blvd and SW 9th Avenue are trying to rezone the land from RS8 to RM15 & RM25. So what that means is instead of being able to build 8 residential units per acre they would be able to build 25 multi family units per acre. Possibly putting 275 plus units on our private road. There is protected slash pines and owls on the property. There have been 8 single family estates on private road for more than 30 years. We need everyone in the surrounding neighborhoods who would be negatively impacted by this rezoning and development to step up and sign this petition. Please share it with all your friends. If they get the land rezoned, they will sell to a developer and who knows what they’ll build. We will be forwarding this petition to all city commissioners.
