The West Ridge Community Organization (WRCO) is working to save the current Northtown Library Building on California Avenue as a public building in order to transform it into a multi-purpose community center.  The building will be vacated once the new library is built on Pratt and Western.

This building can become a vibrant facility engaging all members of our 50th ward community:  young and old, people of all faiths and ethnic groups, those new to our wonderful neighborhood and country,  and those who have been residents for generations.

We request the Alderwoman's full support  (particularly working with the Department of Planning and Development) to transform the old library into a resource for the entire community.
