Growing up black in Chicago we don’t have many places, if any at all to really call our own. And when Drinkhaus opened we finally had that! Four young black men All college graduates came together to bring an experience to our city that we’ve forever been yearning! And when a Drinkhaus opened we finally had that! The establishment hasn’t even been opened a whole year yet and sadly it’s being pushed to close its doors forever & it’s simply not fair! Clubs & bars that are white owned can stay  open late & have fights and not be shut down especially in the river north & wrigleyville area! But because it’s “Greektown” and a black owned establishment we stand no chance! I challenge the Alderman to Reach out to The young men who started this business & talk to these young brothers to come up with a plan that not only help you understand us and our vision but to understand you as well! And for once in our lifetime a black owned business can continue to thrive! Drinkhaus has brought a ton of good to our city. A lot of celebrities has been in and out of there countless times because they love the place like so many other people in city and flying from other cities to just be apart of what was created here! We just want to be able keep building and fueling our good times and memories at the place we call the HAUS!
