Donate 2 vacant buildings in Chicago's Austin area to be used as community centers

The Chicago Austin area is one of the highest crime areas in our city, in part because of its lacking mental health centers, homeless shelters, and community centers. Making these facilities available and functional towards the community's needs will make our community stronger, safer, and a greater sense of well being for all.
We're asking Alderman Taliaferro to donate the two vacant school buildings located at 532 N Parkside Ave and 539 Parkside Ave to be used for accommodating our community by creating a Safe Haven by first developing Mental Health Center and Homeless Shelter. In addition, these facilities can be used for Mentoring, Public Safety, Human Services, Gender Equality, Education and Economic Development.
Utilizing these vacant buildings by turning them into community centers will help families live healthy, help people in need of shelter, and help people in need of a mental health care. In addition, they will be used for educating the community and to create a safe place for networking between residents, community leaders, and elected officials.
