Say NO to the Proposed Erie Street Hotel in River North
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
The current owners of the Dana Hotel have proposed a real estate development project for 12-22 W Erie Street which includes the razing of three, vintage, low rise buildings and the construction of an additional 15-story hotel structure.
There is already a hotel on the block, the Dana Hotel, directly adjacent to the proposed location. Another hotel is believed to be unnecessary and not desired. The impacted residents of River North and the community surrounding the area take pride and ownership in their homes and neighborhood; transient hotel guests do not.
An additional hotel will further attract patrons with unbecoming behavior, amplifying the bad behavior and disrespect of community values currently exhibited by current hotel guests.
The community infrastructure is currently unable to support the traffic and parking effectively. An additional hotel will significantly increase traffic, and amplify the traffic problems the Dana Hotel, as well as the numerous other new hotels, already create in the area.
These are just a few of the issues that will negatively impact the residents of River North and the quality of life in the neighborhood.
We ask that you support/join our collective efforts in a respectful, civil effort to oppose this project.
