Hank's is a wonderful, respectable restaurant that is very respectful of the community it is in. It brings a touch of class to the neighborhood, and is a wonderful addition to the 17th Street dining scene. They should be allowed to operated without being harassed. Bob Condit
I am signing because Hank's is a respectable establishment that provides unusually delicious food to my neighborhood. They are NOT OPEN LATE! It is also an attractive restaurant that makes the neighborhood a better place. Also, I want to sit outside when the weather is nice!
I think the people protesting Hanks are simply annoyed neighbors using the law to force what they are unwilling to resolve on their own. A situation that happens far too often these days in DC.
I am sick and tired of the continual erosion of our freedoms that have been occuring constantly for decades based on the loud sreams of tiny minorities and government power grabs.
I am in no way affiliated with the owners of Hank's, but am familiar with the restaurant and neighborhood. Hank's is a fine establishment, not a junkyard or a drug-house. Any neighbor should be happy to have a desirable establishment like Hank's near them, and serving alcohol in a respectable manner (like Hank's does) should be part of that.
We are Maine residents but have a small condo in DC where we spend some time each year. We have been going to Hank's since they opened. It is a MAJOR plus for Dupont Circle and for DC. Don't penalize them - you have far greater issues to deal with than this positive establishment.
