The Alberta government is sending students back to school on January 11th. The provincial case numbers are rising and sending students back to school will only increase the risk of their health. During the recent holidays, people had gatherings, therefore it would be unsafe to send students back to school. If a student were to take safety precautions and stay home from school they are still marked absent, this is one of the many reasons why online school should stay in effect until it is safe to return. This petition is for students who value their safety and want to continue learning from home until it is safe.
