End Income Dependency for AISH Recipients in Alberta

I receive AISH payments due to a disability that is not curable. When I found a partner, I found out that my AISH pay is dependent on my partner's income if we live together and can be reduced to no money from the Alberta government based on a pay scale. We have a three head household and I am now another dependent of my partner, she is already struggling to get by and it is psychologically harmful to me to feel like more dead weight. Finding a spouse should be a good thing and should not be punished by the government. I am sure there are others in our situation in Alberta and I think it needs to end. I could help pay for expenses in the household and regain some of my self-respect.
