Alberta schools are not ready for reopen! There are no social distance arrangement in classrooms in the reentry strategy. Economy is important, but kids' lives are more important. If covid19 outbreaks happen in school, Alberta government should be responsible for the lost lives and families!

I'm signing because I have 3 grandchildren going back to school and know of other children close to me also returning to school. I'm worried we are not ready. I think it's too soon and there is confusing information out there. Even Dr. Hinshaw is worried about a second wave of COVID.

It’s time we put in windows that open so the kids can breath and in the winter make sure enough fresh air is being drawn into the furnace with good filtration where ever possible. Part of the day needs to be hygiene instruction and demonstrations so the kids learn how very important that is and how important our cleaners are.

Because it feel that there has been no thought put into a reopening plan for schools. Because the UCP wants public schools to fail so that they can privatize education. Because teachers and students and educational assistants and all staff working in schools deserve to be healthy and safe. Teachers are putting their lives on the line right now with no support. Because I believe in public education.

Experts are asking teens and young adults to stop socializing in large groups, as they are fuelling the current increase in covid cases. Yet these same experts are going to send teens back to high schools with 1000-2000 other teens in confined spaces. The double standard is shocking

Public health and public education are too important to leave to plans that are underfunded and underprepared. Our province deserves better!
