Children in Calgary, Alberta and across the western provinces are not able to access the care they currently need at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. This is due to the redeployment of hospital and nursing staff to care for COVID-19 patients in the province. This means that there are not enough people to care for our sickest children, when your child breaks their arm at the park, or like our 4 year old son, your precious baby needs brain surgery. 

We need our children to be safe. They need to be protected and we need to protect them. It is not acceptable to allow their quality of care diminish in light of this pandemic. We must do better than that.

Parents, care-givers, teachers, family members, neighbours and loving community members; I know that with your support we can encourage the Government of Alberta to ensure the continued care of our children, return hospital staff and ensure surgeries and continued care are received.
