Reform Alaska Children's Services Using Ombudsman and Citizen Review Panel recommendation
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
We the the citizens of the state of Alaska demand that the legislators and governor reform the Alaska Office of Children's Services in accordance with the recommendations given by Alaska Ombudsman reports; J2011-0222, A2013-0776 and the Alaska Citizen Review Panel. Reform the Office of Administrative Hearings by providing subpoena authority to administrative law judges during a substantiated child abuse or neglect hearing. Conduct an investigation to determine if the Alaska Office of Children's Services policy and procedures promote interventions so aggressive they amount to leagal kidnapping. The citizens of Alaska overwhelmingly recognize that the office of children's services needs reform. The recommendations given by the ombudsman and the Citizen Review Panel are reasonable and prudent. We demand that our state government address these recommendations in an emergency special legislative session.
