Stop private interests taking over the public space atop the Seabaths

Background: The Seabaths in St Kilda is on crown/public land.

As part of the renovations, around the year 2000. In negotiations with council the applicant agreed to the designation of the rooftop terrace as public space.

Now the operators have an application before council (829/2016) to be gifted over half of our public space, in conjunction with a liquor license for 300 people. With no reciprocal benefit to the public that out weighs our loss of space.

If the council giving away this public space is not acceptable, please sign the petition.

TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS OF THE CITY OF PORT PHILLIP.

The following petitioners hereby request that the current public space on the Seabaths roof top terrace 10-18 Jacka Boulevard remain totally as public space and that the size of this space is not reduced by gifting any part of it to the Seabaths operators.
