Childcare subsidy for 887 visa applicants

Childcare subsidy for 887 visa applicants

Thousands of men and women are forced to stay home to care for their young children as the childcare fees without CCS in Australia is simply unaffordable.
887 Visa applicants have been contributing to the economy, been paying taxes for the past 2+ years and fulfilled all visa requirements to be eligible to apply for permanent residency, yet we are denied childcare support benefits.
Without childcare subsidy it is almost impossible for both parents to work a full time job which for many is essential to survive.
Priority is currently being given to offshore applicants who are receiving their grants within 3 months to boost the economy but there are thousands of onshore 887 applicants ready and willing to work who simply can't due to lack of assistance from the government and are subject to long waiting timeframes for visa processing.
We plead that you please revise this benefit and make it accessible to all 887 applicants who are ready and willing to work and have called Australia home for over 2 years.
