Harsher penalties for repetitive drunk driving charges
Christopher Lee Byrd was kill Friday, January 25, 2013 by a drunk driver. Christopher leaves behind a 3 year old little boy. Nathan will never be able to have his daddy in his life because someone decided to get behind the wheel and drive drunk. The person that killed Christopher, already had prior offensives of DUI charges. The State of Alabama's law and penalties for drunk driving are highly inadequate. We want to see harsher penalties for the first offense, so that the second, third, and forth offense are not allowed. A "slap on the wrist" should not be allowed for the first offense.
